The overall objective of this competition is to add a new dimension

at Seoul Food & Hotel 2015 organized by Allworld Exhibitions and Kotra.
The aim is to incorporate Exhibition Partners to sponsor individual cooking competitions

to promote their products in a competitive environment.
In addition to the competition, related seminars and product demonstrations

will be scheduled over the four (4) days.


Main Course
Invitations will be sent to hotels, family restaurants, culinary schools

and individuals to participate at senior and junior level.

The categories will be mainly “on the spot” preparations, both hot and cold,

with the focus on the presentation and taste.

The competitors will receive the sponsored ingredients at the exhibition
prior to their scheduled competition time.

All other ingredients to produce the dish will be supplied by the participant.

Most categories will require the competitor to produce two (2) portions, one for
judging and one for display and photography.
Basic equipment such as electric stoves, ovens, refrigeration, work space, sink,

etc will be provided. In addition, each work station will have one power point.

The Judging Panel will include experienced Global Experts and local Culinary Personalities.

The judges will use international judging standards and will award

gold, silver and bronze medals.


All competitors will receive a certificate of participation.

The top 3 winners in each category will be offered generous prizes

which will include overseas education trips, knife sets, books, etc.

The secretariat will be at the KEM(Korean Exhibition Management Co.,Ltd) office in Seoul.
The competition will be coordinated by Alan Palmer, a well known Culinary Competitions organizer
and a judge with over 30 years of experience in Asia, with support from

Les Toques Blanches(LTB) and the Korean Chefs Club(KCC)

with assistance from two leading Korean culinary educators with regional judging experience.

ALLWORLD Exhibitions is well known in Asia for organizing similar events at

FHA Singapore, HOFEX Hong Kong, FHC Shanghai, FHM Myanmar,

FHT Thailand, FHI Jakarta, FHV HCMC, FHM Kuala Lumpur
and FHT Bali.

Presently the Culinary Challenge guidelines are being developed

and will be launched to Korea’s Hotel and Restaurant Industry

in early January 2015.
